Nokia 5.4 launch date in India leaked

Must read

HMD is preparing to launch the Nokia 3.4 in India. The budget smartphone will arrive soon but there is no launch date just yet. Now, a new report has claimed the Nokia 3.4 will not be the only phone to arrive.

HMD may also launch the Nokia 5.4 smartphone later this month. The Nokia 5.4 is the successor of the Nokia 5.3 that went official in India last year in August. Over six months later, HMD is maybe planning to refresh its sub-Rs 20,000 portfolio in India.

As reported by Gizmochina, the Nokia 5.4 may be launched in India on February 10 alongside the Nokia 3.4. This means that the launch date for Nokia 3.4 could be February 10. This may be true because HMD Global is teasing the launch of Nokia 3.4 in India on Twitter.

Nokia also listed the Nokia 5.4 on the US online store recently with a shipping date of February 15. However, there is no official information on the India launch of the Nokia 5.4. Considering the last models in the respective Nokia’s 3.X and 5.X ranges have become quite old, HMD may be planning a refresh.

Nokia 5.4 price, specifications

The Nokia 5.4 was launched for $250 in the US. Based on the currency conversion rate, this smartphone should cost around Rs 18,000 in India. But that seems a little impractical considering the Nokia 5.3 was launched for Rs 13,999 in India. The Nokia 5.4 is not a big upgrade over the Nokia 5.3, which is why it is not logical the price gap will be too wide between the two phones.

For its specifications, the Nokia 5.4 runs Android 10 and is upgradeable to Android 11. HMD Global is promising two years of software upgrades and three years of security upgrades on the Nokia 5.4. There is a 6.39-inch 720p screen with a punch-hole setup. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There is a microSD card slot on the Nokia 5.4 to expand the storage further.

There is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the Nokia 5.4. Fueling the smartphone is a 4000mAh battery under the hood, however, without fast charging support. The Nokia 5.4 comes with 48MP quad-cameras on the back while a 16MP selfie camera is there on the phone for selfies. The smartphone comes with support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB-C port for connectivity. There is a Google Assistant button on the left side of the phone to summon the voice assistant whenever you want.
